The SharePoint Architect will act as the company wide SharePoint SME, and participate in major enterprise development initiatives and mission critical Enterprise Data Management projects across the Microsoft platform.
Utilize Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007), Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0), SharePoint Designer 2007 and various other .NET components.
SharePoint Architects must possess advanced skills in Microsoft.NET development with SharePoint technical and architecture experience on enterprise initiatives. Must possess advanced knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and SharePoint Designer 2007. In depth experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence is required. Experience with Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint and application security centered on the SharePoint document library is highly preferred. Ability to evaluate, select and articulate product strategies between MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0 and Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007. Experience with Microsoft Office InfoPath Forms Services is highly preferred, as is experience with SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based Templates, Community Kit for SharePoint, etc.).
SharePoint knowledge should include architectural design (Site and Site Collection Taxonomy), Web Parts development, Workflow development, installation and configuration, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations. Development experience with Microsoft.NET technologies is also required (e.g. ASP.NET 2.0/3.x, C#, XML, IIS, SQL Server, etc.). An understanding and experience with Agile Development Methodologies (particularly Scrum) is also desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, between both the customer and all levels within the organization are required. Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs are also required.

Systems Engineer
As a systems engineer understands how to research and configure high available solutions to include load balancing and clustering. Is capable of integrating complex, enterprise systems to present a holistic integrated solution to customers and end users. Understands virtualization (VMware) and system design analysis and course of action recommendations based upon implementation tradeoffs (cost, expected usage, technology etc.). Capable of managing a team of system administrators. Researches, configures, install s, maintains and upgrades server operating system and application software to include but not limited to: Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, SharePoint 2007, Exchange 2007, Blackboard and Adobe Connect and other server software as required. Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Responsible for creating system monitoring, backup, restores and patch management plans to be implemented by system administrators. Manages system configuration for multiple systems/server farms to ensure system integrity, responsible create and conduct quarterly risk audits/assessments. A wide degree of creativity and latitude. Must be a problem solver, manager, leader, self motivated, willing to learn.
Other tasks may include :
Configure and baseline system operating systems.
Configure, install application services such as Internet Information Services (IIS), SQL Server, SharePoint Services/Portal, Exchange and other Microsoft server products.
Research and configure other server products such as: Adobe Connect, Blackboard, Questionmark and other server application products as required.
Responsible for system documentation to include system views (visio), application configuration worksheets and backup/restore plans.
Lab management, assist in managing lab supporting remote projects/engineering teams that may consist of a number of service technologies to include but not limited to: Server 2003, IIS6.0, Share Point 2007, SQL Server 2005, Sybase ASE 12.5, Blackboard, Connect, Questionmark, Tomoye and Community Portal.
